Application Server not Connecting to DB (HANA)

This issue may happen in different situations, example - after changing the IP/Hostname of the DB server.


R3 trans -d Result :-

R3trans -d This is R3trans version 6.26 (release 749 - 14.02.17 - 20:17:01). unicode enabled version 2EETW169 no connect possible: "DBMS = HDB --- SERVER = '' PORT = ''" R3trans finished (0012).

Check the following command to check the target DB IP/Hostname details

hdbuserstore LIST

DATA FILE       : /home/s4dadm/.hdb/sap003/SSFS_HDB.DAT
KEY FILE        : /home/s4dadm/.hdb/sap003/SSFS_HDB.KEY

KEY DEFAULT
ENV : hdb101:30013
USER: SAPHANADB
DATABASE: THD 

ENV : hdbserver:30013  - hostname:tenent port
USER: SAPHANADB - Schema User
DATABASE: SHD - DB SID

Change connection settings using below command -

hdbuserstore SET DEFAULT "hostname:port" DB Schema User Password
or
hdbuserstore SET DEFAULT "IP:port" DB Schema User Password

For Example :-

hdbuserstore SET DEFAULT "sapserver:30013" SAPHANADB  Admin@123
